Identro's new components

ok as you all noticed my computer SUCKS ASS! that's why i'm going to upgrade my computer next week. I want to ask you all if you have any advise of wich kind of components I should take. what i like for my computer is:
-Quad core (any advice for memory)
-1 to 2 Terabyte hdd
-Bridge to link 2 graphic cards (asus geforce 9800 gtx+)
any other stuff and advice is always welcome

Quadcore with that ammounts of speed dont excist, if they do they are manually clocked in a way you and me never can... and ive never seen a consumer computer with 1 terabyte of memory.

Im not sure what your aiming for, but i recommend to do some homework first


If you want something topnotch, go look for a Intel i7 (pro) or AMD Phenom X4
And with 4 to 8 Gigabyte or Ram your safe for the next 5 years.
If you want to dual a 9800 GTX, make sure you look for a motherbord with 2 or 3 way SLI possibilitys...
Be aware a system like this is a heavy overload for wow, and if this is the only game you actually play.. your wasting money.

I myself running on a Q6600 (intel quadcore 2.4ghz), 4GB 800mhz Memory, ATI Radeon HD4870 1GB, Win7 64b and a Velociraptor Disk to speed up the I/O.
It all works like a charm, and im damn sure i can hold of another 3 years of gaming... all new titles i can play on max settings without any problems at all.

Wow.... 2TB memory.... I dont know where you are gonna get that... and what motherboard will support it.... but you got my vote!

What I have:

Intel i5 750
4GB DDR3 memory
ATI HD 5850 1GB DDR5
3 TB HD space

Something like that :)

130 fps in raids :)

mmm I looked on what i wrote but i saw my mistakes yeah but i've edited it but WoW isn't the only game I play so i'm not wasting my money on a linked graphic card

Depends on what card you buy. If you buy a far cheaper 2x DX10 setup instead of a DX11 1 card setup... then its silly... you could later buy the second and then go dual. Plus the performance on DX 11 games (not yet released) will be alot better on the single one. (i got a single DX11 :))

well i made a stupit deal that I would finish my year of college and then I would buy a new computer since my mom is controling my cash atm kinda stupit but I convinced them that my computer need some new components

ill give you one tip. screw your 1 or 2 tb drive. buy either an SSD or a Raptor. This will greatly improve everything.

Maloko i will Defenetly need ure help in 1-2 months. u need to help me with getting a new pc. using a ADM athlon 64 atm with a. asus 8800gt graphic card. but seem to me the shit is getting wors by time.
my pc is getting old
