eerrrr what's the point? if you just have normal chats you won't even notice them so i don't see any problems since i'm not planning to go suicide BOOM into a building or try to date little kids. i don't give a shit about blizz looking at my chat since there is nothing special about it wich can bring me into problems with blizzard so stop crying about your privacy since if you don't do any drastic like i'm planting a bomb you won't notice anything

It's a discussion about boundaries.
Would you go to a restaurant where ever table has a couple mics hanging overhead so the conversations can be monitored ? Just an innocent social gathering of friends after all, you probably aren't going to talk terrorism or seducing hot 16yearolds, though you may joke about it. But hey, the food is good, so who cares. Monitoring every chat you have in game shifts the boundary a bit in favour of Big Brother type absence of privacy. |

I find most of this hypocracy at the highest levels. We shout and boo when we think we are on the wrong side of the draw.
As long as their actions is clearly stated in the terms of agreement, then what is the problem? That most people don't read them is not an issue for blizzard. If you don't like it, or are principally against it, then go and make a stand. Stop playing the game and do something else. You have a consious choice. How many of the people that talk about our rights and privacy violate rules themselfs? How many of you downloads illigal movies or music or games? How many of you waste your boss's time by checking the internet occasionally during a work day? Etc! I doubt many people come out clean tbh. You can discuss if you like what blizz does or not, even have an option to do something about it (stop playing their game) but don't be selective where "rights" are concerned plz. |
