I stumbled upon it when I logged in to the armory. I wanted to see calendar and accept invitations. I did not accept. I wonder what I clicked on yesterday....
And I know they can monitor everything... you should beware of that anyhow. BUT.. by this you give them permission to do it...

Dear naive noobs, every gamemaker logs almost everything, expecially chatting. Blizzard is just being nice here they do it in the open and let you have the illusion you are somewhat in control. So remember this next time youre trying to hit on this 12 year old boy.

Why would you sue them.. For ensuring people dont use chat to discuss illegal matters. We use their software for our entertainment, surly they have a right to know what is said and done over their software. If you want to disscuss private or illegal matters then dont use their software.

Well yes Merry. But by accepting this you cant sue them for invading privacy etc... and making this a bit more legal material for court.

How else would you suggest blizz to ensure no-one was using their software to do illegal activities?

BTW, I am not knocking your veiws, I understand what you are saying.. but surly if you were concerned about you private convo's remaining private then surly it would be easier to pick my the phone or right a letter/email. There are millions of people playing this game and it opens the possiblity for people to discuss illegal activities using the wow software to avoid being dectected by other organisations. Being a person knowing I dont talk about illegal shit and I dont spend my time abusing people, it makes me feel more secure, knowing that they monitor for other people doing it, in the hope of stopping it and making things safer for users.
